Some SAK love

.577NE, the Sak wiki calls it a Day Packer, derived from the Grafter, which only came with black nylon handle. The wiki says chisel ground blade. It may be discontinued. I saw one on Ebay.

Once a year Case reissues a pattern by taking it out of the vault. They’ve got nothing on me. This has been cherished and protected for nearly 25 years. It’s time has come to join the rotation. I wish I knew its name but I’m too lazy to figure it out.1C6C173D-35D9-4089-AD20-8DB3301894E8.jpeg

I like three layers, enough tools, not too thick. This is one I made up with the tools I find most useful. Layer 1 - blade and multi-opener, layer 2 - wood saw, layer 3 - scissors. Corkscrew back tool, no awl or hook. Wood scales. New pouch arrived today from Ukraine, nice material, fit and quality.

IMHO some SAK tools are just superior.

The scissors for example look kind of flimsy but cut better than a lot of others the same size.

The saw which I compared to LM saws was far better.

Same with the metal file it’s size allows it to be used in places a big file can’t go and has the perfect degree of abrasion.

I just can’t bring myself to use this one though I’ve always wanted one on a Alox as it’s so nice. 😁
