Some seem better than others. Normal?

They're all good. However on the lower priced FRN models it seems that some are EXCEPTIONALLY good.
I just bought a Native S30V SE from a retailer based solely on the SMOOTHNESS.
I looked at their shelf model and it was a bit stiff. Possibly from the price tag on the blade. I asked if they had a backstock one and he brought it out and ...WOW! Opens like butter. No play in any direction. It also drops the blade on lock release and I like that.
Had to have it. I have a couple Delicas and one is smooth as silk and I had to polish out the blade radius (Simichrome) on the other to get it to open without some drag (it was still OK.....but)
However, it is still far stiffer than the first.
Is this a normal situation?

I think the stiff ones just needs some lube. The native that I used for years have periods of stiffness from being rinsed. A little grease loosens them up. Same with the manix that I edc now.

I noticed my Golden made Native has a much smoother action than any other FRN Spydie made in Seki. I was thinking there in Japan they make the knives tighter in order to prevent the knife to be assimilated to a gravity / inertial opening knife.
