I had a Bk16 that I could get stupid sharp with very little effort and it would hold that edge thru all kinds of abuse. Unfortunately I lost that 16 on a Devils Path Hike:( Of course I replaced it with another 16 but just couldn't get the same edge on my replacement 16. I've been carrying my Bk10LE lately and I've noticed that it to will get scary sharp with zero effort and stay that way. Any body else have a blade that just loves to take an edge? Let's hear it.

My Ka-bar BK11 takes and holds a crazy sharp edge.
Haven’t used my Camillus 11 enough to give an update as of yet.
I also have a convexed Ka-bar BK9 that holds a nasty edge even through some abuse.

I know I had a few that came with very out of sink edges that took a long time to get right. In fact the latest 21 I got came with a horrible edge. Makes me think how many of them get out and new owners that think the 21 sucks and all it is the uneven edges :D Had a new 24 that came dull started sharpening and the edge crumbled to like powder o_O but after a few hours turned out just fine and seems to be good now. Ya just never know :)

i have some knives that basically i've never sharpened, and they seem to keep performing...

by basically, i mean, ran a stone on it, and kept going

none of this and that major reprofiles, or extensive sharpenings and things.

they're just working tools. touch up. go.

Me too :) and that is always nice

In contrast, I used a Buck 119 for years and years. Hardest knife I ever had to sharpen, wouldn't last very long either. But never a hint of rust or corrosion, "cleaned" lots of fish too. It's a great knife, but that amount of stainless characteristics seem demanding.

Sounds like the edge got over heated on the factory belt.

I agree. The older 2 line Buck 119s are a chore to sharpen I think they are 440c. The newer 119s with the 420HC are pretty easy going.

The edge on my Bk20 looked like turn two at Daytona.

This. Exactly, this.

I've only touched up my niner since I've had it. Will it shave? No, but it's still sharp. ;)

yes black background, as far as edge touch and go like most then I have a habit of giving blades out for awhile and the kind people usually put an edge on prior to returning

Blackjack Sterile Brute was stripped re profiled and an edge that will cut hair, And a BK20 that our Tanker was so kind to edge up

Brute Before

20 After Tanker edged up it bites hard
