These work will be delivered to new owner today. I have made some cross carry sheaths for yatagan and kukri. A normal sheath for dagger. The kitchen knife has a sheath made by my girlfriend. She designed it and stitched. Others by me. For more action:p pics here is the online album : http://picasaweb.google.com.tr/emrekipmen/SheathWork#
Comments are welcome...

Nice clean work. Kukris are flippin' sweet, I have to try making them soon. Do you have a power stitcher?

Emre! Cool pic man! I always enjoy seeing a picture of the maker. You look pretty mean with all those knives strapped to you... :D

Very nice sheaths. I like your work. I'd like to see the back of the sheaths too, if possible, didn't see that at picasweb if they're there.

Thanks friends, although I hate leatherwork they came out OK I guess.
Vorpal, no I don't have any tool for stitching, all are hand stitched.

Dave sorry I forgot to add some backside photos. Thanks for reminding. Here are some:

Thanks Emri, I really like those and am saving your images for future reference. I love this place - I learn so much it's not funny. Thanks for sharing your work. Who knows - maybe someday you'll start enjoying the leatherwork too! Or get your girlfriend increasingly involved. ;)

Nice work.

I especially like the the largest piece; the wet forming is great and the stitching and stitching groove on the back side are clean and even.

It maybe the photos... but don't forget to edge bevel your belt loops before you stitch them, it makes a huge difference.

Dave, we have no chance about her. She needed a hand on a website job, in exchange she did a sheath for me :) Maybe she will need some IT help from me but it wont cover all the sheath work :p...

Mark, I did forget to bevel them but I really was planning to, I swear :D. I always forget something on sheath work while rushing things up. Sometimes the stitching groove, sometimes the welt and sometimes the loop bevels. I wasnt aware of it until you reminded me. Thanks :)

What do you use for handstitching? Two needles, or a lockstich awl? Those are nice straight seams, and I second that compliment about the wetforming on that large piece.
