I love the way Fujita Yuji photographs birds! He never just takes a picture of a bird, but captures its personality. His pictures are always so alive.

Of course, his other photography is excellent, too, but his bird photographs really are works of art!

For me It's so much fun to see birds and other animals how they make their
livings. Not sure my pics are that great as you said but I'm very happy

the snow looks good but man im digging that smoke meat,had some for dinner last nite,smoke meat stir fried with onions ,garlic an ong choy over some hot rice,do you just salt brine the meat or do a terri stye soak yours then smoke,,, i do 2 cups shoyu,2cups sugar,1/4 cup rice wine vinager,fresh ginger,garlic,pepper,2 tbl chili flakes,bunch green onions,1can coke,soak for 5 days in fridge,smoke an enjoy,,,,aloha,,man that looks good

My recipe is quite similar to yours, replacing coke with de-alcoholed wine.

Man I love Japan. Do you ever purchase any Kanestune knives? At Shot, I was talking in lenght with the makers at the booth, and they had a very neat DVD showing a guy using one of their knives in the snow. It was glorious. Is that your son tucked under that jacket?

On another note, we are in another snow storm here. It hasn't snowed like this in 20 years and they are calling for it again monday. TonyM was right.. "oh look, snow :rolleyes: "

Haven't handled Kanetsune blades in person but as far as I understand
they are with Japanese traditional blade lines to some extent.
Love traditional style choppers of Japan as they are so specialized
in chopping Japanese bush.

That small one is my daughter, six months old.

Awesome photos as usual Fujita, always fun to see all of the animal tracks in the snow the next morning here too. Right now we're just having our second day of rain...yaaaaaaay...more rain.

That smoked bacon made me hungry!

Domo Mr Tanaka for taking the time and the patience, I think of him everytime I garden.

Took okinawan karate for 4.5 yrs and my brother is a blackbelt, always had a great interest in your culture and history from a very young age.
My dad(karate in the 60's and 70's) before he passed was starting to cultivate some nice bonsai.
Our climate and terrain here in BC seem very similar to parts of Japan
have a great day, gotta finally go get some work done.

Nice to hear you know about Japanese guarden.
I cannot say very well but I feel something bush, a taste of natural bush
from these gardens and Bonsais, which I love very much.

BC is located in much higher latitude than Japan but looks like
we share the climate as you say, which I never knew before I read your post.
