Some Tracks

I just dug these up, took them a few years ago on a day hike in the local foothills. At the top of the trail there was a level dirt area which is where the pics are from (muddy because of recent and heavy rain). I recognize some deer tracks in the mix, but there are a couple I can't tell what they are. Anybody know?

I was thinking racoon? Though, not enough toes.

If anyone is curious about the area the snowy peak in the back groun is Mt. Baldy (San Antonio Peak) in Southern California.

I'm no expert but I would say coyote or some other type of K9. Dogs have a pointier back pad and the paws are generally longer and skinnier. Also the exposed claws. Cats don't extend their claws unless running.

I could be extremely wrong though. Cool pics by the way.

Yeah, I was leaning in that directon. Much more triangular pad than the fat M shape of a Mt. Lion pad. Thanks for those pics

Figure I'd add more pics of the hike.
