Damn, Tom, I'm shocked. Phil was a friend and one of my favorite makers. For those that didn't know Phil Boguszewki you missed meeting a true craftsman and gentleman. R.I.P., Phil.

Rest In Piece my friend.....God Bless you, your family, loved ones and friends......a sad day indeed. :(

Just got the info yesterday, Sue Boguszewski is who I am very sad for, she and Phil have been married for what seems like forever, keep her in your prayers, please.

Best Regards,

I'll miss talking to Phil at the shows I'm able to attend, but grateful that I had the chance to do so in the past. Prayers for Sue and the rest of his family.

I am very sorry to hear this news. :(

I reached out to Phil completely out of the blue a couple of years ago asking him to make a knife for me. I enjoyed my conversations with him during that process even more than the cherished knife he made for me. Among other things, I learned that he had spent three years stationed in the Army at Ft. Eustis in the late 60s. He was in the Army Band and he told me of playing at night off post with local dance bands in Newport News, Hampton, etc. I guess he had a lot of talents. I will miss him. Prayers sent for his wife and family.

Sorry to hear this. I,ve followed Phil,s work for years. One of the great makers of our time. Prayers to his family.

I just saw this and feel just terrible. Phil was my favorite maker/artist/innovator. He was an incredibly nice man and this is a huge loss.

Deepest sympathies to his wife Sue and his family.

Terribly sad news. My deepest condolences to his wife and family.
I first met Phil at a show outside LA in the mid 80's. I purchased one of his folding daggers. He was a real gent...........:(
