... I have a problem. Since I sent in my Buck 112 for the spa treatment on Nov 4th, I've bought/ordered a 110, a 55, and today ordered a 501. I'm still planning on buying a 117 and a 120 (both with the Cocobola Dymondwood/Brass handles). They're individually a bit more expensive, so I'm going to ask for one of them as a Christmas gift from my Wife.
I think I need to go to a 12 step program.

PS: I should mention that I had also purchased a 119 from Walmart before I sent my 112 in for the treatment.

The 12 step program for Buck nuts is to buy 12 Buck knives. You than will be broke but as soon as you recover you need to buy 12 more. Than keep repeating.

    Works for me.

Well one upside is Buck knives hold there value well. As long as you don't pay too much . I tell KathyJo it's my 401 Buck.

    @dpsk
I fail to see a "problem" ... other than maybe asking your wife to buy you a knife ... the wife I had would never do something like that.

Note that he said, "the wife I HAD."

If you're married.......take that as a portent of your future.

    Age may be the answer.

When I hit 70 I noticed that I didn't have the same urge to buy.

Now I have almost total control. I evaluate potential purchases with cold logic.

    Most of the time.

    Same here.
I said long ago "Hey the guys tell me there is a store in the shooting club that sells Chris Reeve knives ! Want to go with me to look them over ?". I had an ulterior plan; I was going to pick out the one I liked the best and hope / hint that she could get it for me for Christmas a couple years ago.

Long story short she just looked at me as if I had been dropped on my head, got no clue as to what was happening. She had gotten an inheritance and had some serious bucks to play with. She had said when she got it many years before that she wanted to do some little nice thing for me with some of it.

She insisted on paying off a dental bill for me.
After I saw there was no hope of her getting the CRK hint I said how about I pay off the dental bill and she buy me the CRK.

She said because she wanted to help me take care of my teeth and there was no way she was going to buy me any goofy knife as some kind of a "romantic" gesture that I have dreamed up.

    . . . errrrr . . . allllrightythen  o_O
    :poop:

Oh well I guess I got the best end of the deal even if it wasn't "romantic".

PS : not to get too far off topic; I have bought my share of Bucks in the last year . . . pardon me for not counting them up. I don't want to know how many :( :D

    Here's a photo I put up earlier in the week . . . but there's more.

I told you before. Start off on a plan to buy all the 100 series knives. Because you’ll end up with them eventually.

    And don’t forget a 124

    F8EF18AC-9613-43E2-AB55-C4E7E7EA4C68.jpeg

Then you will have every knife you will ever need for any purpose on North America.

Then you can start buying the knives you don’t “need”
