One part of my collection is rather nice grouping of handmade knives, none of which cost over $100. They are _good_ knives, fully functional and in most cases nice to look at.

Thanks for everyone's help and to those I may have offended I apologize. I know how tough wrapping can be as I've done it myself and I know that bladesmithing is a pain too. I suppose I was more frustrated at finances rather than the prices of blades. Hat's off to those of you who smith and I would love to do it myself; kit idea has set pretty well. Thanks to all and sorry again. :footinmou :(
 
I have 2 handmades under $50, a Greco Gold Micarta Dangler, and an ANZA File Knife.

Both well made knives for the money.
