Hey, will somebody do me a favor?

Send me 4 or 5 matching pieces of carbon steel for a rust-protection test I wanna do. A couple years back I posted a test where I coated parts of a bead-blasted ATS-34 blade with various rust-protection products.

Now, I want to do another with the winner of the last test up against several other things I haven't tested. I'd like to be more scientific this time and take digital photos too.

The winner LAST TIME was Breakfree (which barely edged-out RemOil) and I'm going to test it against TuffCloth®, Marine TuffCloth®, Militec® & Birchwood Casey Sheath® this time.

So I guess I need 5 pieces. Something somewhere between the size of a cigarette and your middle finger. Preferably having the 5 pieces match in size, shape and finish and be free from coatings and oils of any kind.

Can somebody hook me up? I'll shoot you a Paypal to cover shipping.

Nah, just one kind will do. As long as they're all the same and will rust. ;)
I'll PM you later tonight. -Jim

I've got some mild steel, it'll rust, but it's not the same as higher carbon stuff. I've got thousands of pounds of it laying around, I imagine I could spare a few feet in the name of science.

Email me if you want it.

Sweet!
I got busy at work and forgot about this thread (subscribe isn't working for me), but I'll get with you and Chuck by email and we'll see if we can't get this project started! :)

My computers in the shop right now, so I don't have good access to my regular account, so I'm a bit slower replying to Email for the next few days.... so please be patient with me.
