Someone knocked my lights out!

Darn. I recently reset my preferences, since it appears they were cleared a few days ago on the forums end, and all the bulbs went out! Since I visit the sites a few times daily I now don' t recall where I left off on each forum. Is there any way to avoid the bulbs going out in the future or is there something I don' t know as to how the system works? Thanks for any help.

The lights work on cookies.

If they don't work for you, you either have a bad cookie, or you are no longer receiving cookies.

Everytime you reset your preferences, your cookie is reset, so you lose where you "left off" on the messages.

There currently is no way to mark messages unread after you've updated your cookie. Sorry.

Yes, I do get the lit bulbs back when revisiting. So my cookies are working. Thanks for the education.
