Someone own a Fallkniven u4 (wolfs tooth)? Could use help making a decision

Sort of first time posting. I guess I'll start by stating how great this forum is. I am very grateful for the abundance of information for the knifenut on here.


I have been thinking about getting a Fallkniven u4, nicknamed the wolfs tooth. Actually it's being gifted to me. I like small edc knives as I mostly use them for light everyday tasks. I think a Fallkniven would be a big step upward for me quality wise. I am currently using a boker subcom to my satisfaction I must add. I had to use a fob for better grip but I don't mind.

Basically I have already made the choice for a Fallkniven (have a certain budget), now I just have to choose a size. The wolfs tooth seems great but I am not sure if I should get it bigger as in a u2 I think it's called.

Hoping people who own a u4 or u2 will chime in. Thanks in advance!

I bought one of the first U4's availible in Sweden, some years ago.
It's a small, very light but strong 3-finger knife.
It vanishes in the pocket, but is there when needed.

I like the drop point profile and the thin blade.
The powdersteel holds an edge more than well.

I'm pleased with mine, so I think You will be the same.

Bumping this...did you decide to get the U4? Like it? I'm kinda in the same boat at the moment...U4 or U2?
