The Techno is the one Spyderco folder I'll never be without. Not the best at any one thing (although it's a much better slicer, and great all-around EDC than it's looks would suggest). But it's sheer "cool" factor, and the quality "custom knife" feel I get when wielding, or just holding or opening it...is unsurpassed in any other knife I own. A HUGH bang-for-the-buck too!

Two of my current favorites. Can't go wrong with either although I slightly prefer the Southard.
The Vollatton is just a thing of beauty.

We all have models that are near and dear to our hearts. Mine is the serrated Pacific Salt. Partly because of the design and usefulness but just as much because of all the wonderful times I have had while carrying and using that knife. My suggestion is find a model that you will enjoy carrying and using...ultimately that is where the "warmth" comes from.
