When dealing with one of my local wood suppliers, he asked me if I had ever considered bark pocket maple. I looked at what he had, and picked out some nice pieces. They were rough and it was hard to see the potential. I got them home, cut them up and sanded them, and was pleasantly surprised. I was even more happy when I got these blocks back from K&G. The color and figure on these blocks is great. The grain is like nothing else, and there are colors ranging from light tan to dark brown to green and reddish brown.
All of the pockets stabilized very well, and these are good solid blocks!
Stop by my website and see what you can find. I'm thinking some of this may go to K&G for dying in the near future. We'll see how that turns out.
Questions and Comments are always welcome.
