Something about the Delica...

I ordered a Delica 4 waved a few days ago... had second thoughts and emailed the retailer and asked them to switch it out for and Endura 4 W. Unfortunately, the order had already shipped :grumpy:, but they said that I was welcome to send the D4 back for an E4.

So today the package came in, I ripped it open, took out the knife.....

And something tells me I won't be sending this little guy back.

There's something about the Delica that makes you not wanna part with it... definitely my new EDC. :D

Yeah, the D4W is pretty close to perfect for me as an EDC knife. I've been switching it up with my Native every now and then, but it's just not quite the same. There are still at least a couple of other Spydies that I want to try out, especially the Caly 3 and the Lava. I haven't handled an Endura but it just seems to be a bit more than I would need for daily use. There may be one in my future for camping and hiking use, but there are a lot of other knife and non-knife purchases that will probably take precedence over that. Enjoy your new Delica!

Im not a big fan of the waved Delica but the non waved Delicas are great.
I carry one faily often and regularly get good use out of them. I think its about the perfect size for EDC and with the choices available in steel, handle material and grinds it got pretty much all bases covered

So, how do you like the wave? I know in your other thread you were contemplating which model to go for.

The D4W is absolutely perfect for my EDC purposes. I still collect and use other knives, but my buying habits definitely slowed down after this particular knife.

I love it!!!

I'm glad I finally decided to go for the wave... the "cool factor" is just too much to resist.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about! I just got mine this morning (Delica 4 Wave), and it is absolutely amazing. The size is just perfect, and the knife feels great in the hand. The quality feels great, too, even the "plastic" FRN handle.

I don't think I'll be needing a new knife anytime soon  :D

For me, I love the Wave. I can't not open it without it :D

I highly agree :D

Dude,

You're spot on with your feelings about the Delica.

I've said this many times but it bears repeating once in a while.......

Dollar for dollar and pound for pound there is no better knife out there than the Delica (and the SAK of your choice of course).

dan :)

I got my fiancee one of these back when we first met. It's been a daily carry piece since. ;-)
