Recommendation? Something between a peanut and a slimline trapper?

So I've been daily carrying peanuts for a while, but every now and then I need something bigger my favourite pair have been a little Remington and a Case slim line trapper.

The resemblance is uncanny but it begs the question is there something in the middle? The Case can be just that too big at time and the peanut too small - would like something when I only want to carry one knife

With the peanut being 2 ¾” and the Trapper being 4 1/4" I'm thinking 3 1/2" would be on the money.

As yet I haven't found anything that matches what I'm after

does anyone have any suggestions?

I looked at Case but the blade shape is wrong

need to get a picture up of my two the little peanut looks like the trappers son

GEC single blade 48. One of my favorite knives. Smaller than the Case 48. Perfect size for me. They come in two blades also but I prefer the single. --KV

Wasn't planning to limit the search to Case knives but really wanted the style and shape of the two I own with a single clip blade

There's a single clip blade Case mini trapper available (2.75" blade, 3.5" closed length), but all I found were Ford and Harley Davidson logo ones. There's one with a clip blade and cap lifter secondary blade if that would be useful to you.

I really like the teardrop, but it doesn't come in a clip blade.

Thanks to all the suggestions, inspiration and to the search function on here I think I might have made a bit of headway.

Its not a Case its a Queen.

51 workhorse trapper, 3.5" closed, 1095 steel, brass pins & liners and delrin scales.

sappyg posted this a while back

Looks like just the thing, question is where will I find one...

It may take time, some single blade Queens are hard to find. I'd suggest their Teardrop but it's Spear.

GEC made early 56s in Clip, they might well interest you or why not a GEC 15 Boy's Knife? Plenty Bareheaded or with end-caps, good size Clip.

Case 61009 Barlow. Smooth antique bone single blade. The most just right EDC I have had in a long while.

Queen made a trapper jack as well. They we're right around 3.5 inches and had a muskrat clip main and pen secondary. Charlie did a GEC SFO in that design on the 48 frame...which was 3 7/8 inches.

You also have the Schrade 294 trapper with a pen secondary.

I just came across a queen 51 trapper jack in D2 and bird's eye maple on the auction site.

I like this size too for EDC

GEC 14 or 15 fits the bill

I have the Case mini trapper with the caplifter. Nice knife and fits in a coin pocket.

A. Wright & sons has a couple ettrick and lambsfoot options around 3.5”

I think Bear & Sons has some options in this range too.

It's still pretty easy to find a GEC #35 pattern Churchill @ 3¾" closed. They have a great blade combo of a clip with a sheepfoot. If you haven't used a straight-edged blade like the sheepfoot, you won't believe how useful is really is. Here is my well used one in ebony.
