Recommendation? Something between a peanut and a slimline trapper?

I’m not the first (or even the second) to express this opinion, but the GEC 14 fills this niche for me.

So closed length not blade length. I was going to say change the blade shape on the Trapper (I have).
In that case how about a Tear Drop ? The Case has nice walk and talk with a firm half stop for what that is worth. Nice knife.

Is not single blade but the secondary is unobstrusive.

It’s just in the middle at 3 5/8”

Old Case 6207 was what crossed my mine too; I have one from the mid 70's with Delrin handles - pretty stout knife and wider Clip blade than the current version. OH

This is the winner so far a really nice piece and I could live with the additional blade

the Parker Edwards Mini Trapper is a close second though

I've tried GEC #14 and #15 before but as drop points so a clip point version could be in my future

Corso.. Just a heads up.. If you are looking for the 07 with a pen blade.. There are a lot of them out there that are real nail breakers.. I got 3 before I found one that wasn't.. JMO..

A case sodbuster jr. is a good knife. Its not a clip blade but it is a very good knife. You can get them in bone with cv also. The yeller cv can be had cheap.
