Something different, 1084, Box Elder

I thought I would try something different. I am not sure what you would call this pattern but look at the belly. Use it for a hunter or food prep whatever you like. This blade is hand sanded and sporting a hamon through the subtle etch that was hand polished. Top swedge is not razor sharp but can be. The handle material is stabilized Box elder burl sanded to a nice shine from Chuck at Alpha knife supply. Check out the heavily contoured handle for a sure grip. I will sell this knife for $130.00 shipped or with a nice leather sheath made to order for $180.00 shipped.



Full Tang
Handle- 4.4"
Blade- 5.0" edge 3.60" 1/8" stock
Saber grind, hand sanded with a light acid etch for some rust protection then hand polish
Handle material-, Nice stabilized box elder wood sanded to 1500, G-Flex epoxy with fiberglass pins and brass lanyard tube
blade Steel Aldos 1084 Carbon steel, edge quench
In house heat treat and temper.

Nice look to that one Jason reminds me of a short scimitar style blade very unique awesome work ! Beautiful handle wish I had some money left I wouldn't hesitate at that price

Thanks Brainestorm. The blade is 1/8 stock usually starts around .134 might be .125 to. 130 now. Ill measure it and edit the post after work.

I have a stencil but its only my initials. I need to get another one made but I am not sure what to get. Do you think If I had a makers mark they would sell better?
