Here's a shot of my first full tang, I styled it after my Harley palm skinner. I enjoyed making it. Both knives are heading to my girlfriend's dad. The blade is 6.5" forged 5160, wild temper line (I didn't polish or etch the blade this time), linen micarta handle, stainless pins and thong hole, OAL is ~11". I'll probably make a few more of these in silghtly different configurations.

Nice knives as usual Matt. I like the blade design on that big one. Looks to be a real useful general-purpose utility / camp knife type of blade. Big enough for most of the big-knife tasks except maybe heavy chopping (and they make hatchets and axes for that :) ). I'm not a fan of full-tang knives or of micarta handles, but that's just personal preference. Micarta certainly has its place on a working knife. That little (walnut?) handled clip point hunter sure pushes ALL my buttons though.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Roger, I agree with both points. It's always nice to try something different, so I went with a full tang. This knife is destined for fly-in fishing trip abuse. I wanted him to have a thin silcer and a big(ger) chopper. Maybe I'll make him a hatchet next :).

Micarta is really starting to grow on me, you can't beat claro walnut though ;). The hunter is actually pretty big by the way; the blade is about ~5".
