I placed a few orders to one shop knife shop around the 15 & 17. I like them and have had good business experiences with them in the past. I live at a APO address so I wanted to confirm that it would be sent USPS instead of UPS. I sent them a few replys to the order confirmation addy and a few emails to listed addresses under the contact us and have had no response. Recently I sent 2 more and received a non delivery notice stating that the recipents mailbox accout has exceeded its size and my mail was returned. Something happen to them? The email I sent them was 2KB in size.

We're having email problems due to the Klez virus and our current email provider. Because we get hundreds of emails each day, when the Klez virus hit our volume jumped 50%, many of them being bounces with our email spoofed as the return address. 150 bounced emails with virii attached to them fills up your quota very quickly - our provider said we were taking up over 100 mB of space in less than 72 hours.

We have a consultant who is working with us right now and will be installing an email server hopefully this week to eliminate these sorts of problems.

You have my apologies for the delay. If you could give me another email with your order number attached to spark@onestopknifeshop.com I'll see what's cooking on your order.

My 2 Cents: This forum belongs to 1SKS, and in most forums I have been in a post like this would have been removed by the owner, I think it is very impressive that 1SKS leaves this post up and answers the questiosn asked instead of removing it, shows alot of integrity on the part of 1SKS.

Ok, we've installed our new email server and while it's better than the previous situation, I'm not 100% happy with the software. Email works right now but we don't have catchalls in place, so if it bounces because of "user not found" send it to spark@1sks.com or info@1sks.com and we'll get it handled. Or just give us a call during business hours and we'll settle it right then.

Thanks for your patience. When it rains, it pours.

Spark,

May I ask how your handling your e-mail? as in is it a in house server or a hosted server? Contact me and I may be able to help with preventing this kinda of problem in the future. Advice is free to another knifenut :). I been running several commercial websites for quite a few years now and I have run into these glitches before and I was just wondering how your hosting/doing your e-mail servers.

We went from having our email hosted by another provider to hosting it ourselves on a seperate server in our rack. I want something a bit more advanced than the software we currently are using though, so we'll be upgrading at the first opportunity. Not that what we're using now isn't high speed, but I'd like something with a couple other features. BTW, we're a Linux-OS server environment all the way - NT is not for us.

Linux is def. the most reliable way to go, no question there. Good luck with getting it all up and running the way you want. Again if I can help you out let me know
