Something I noticed about my Powerlock

I just picked up a Powerlock on a whim at Lowe's today, and I love everything about this tool except for one thing.
Maybe it's just mine, but it always seems that when the knife blade is folded out and I go to fold it in, the bottle opener will fold itself even further into the handle, making the lock unable to rest in the proper poisition. To fix this I have to pull the knife out of the handle again slightly in order for the can opener to realign itself properly. Did I get a bad one or is this a design flaw in all the Powerlocks?

I say bring it back and tell them and get a new one. If it does it again, its a design flaw and you got a new one :-D. If it doesnt then hey you still got a new one and it works fine! I dont know much about the SOGs.

Same thing on my S60 PowerLock. I carry a separate knife and don't use the PowerLock as much as the Victorinox Spirit and SwissTool, so I haven't found it to be much of an annoyance.

I believe this is why they came out with the piano locks on their new tools coming out later this year.

It's one of the "charms" of the powerlock's older design. I believe the piano locks are going to correct the problem, but like yourself, I just bought my powerlock a few months back so i'm looking to "upgrade" anytime soon. I find that the PL fits my needs 90% of the time. I carry a folder or fixed blade on me at all times along with a multitool, so the PL gets used for its pliers and drivers first and formost. I really like mine:)
