After the quillion dagger for last year, I said it will be a while before I make another dagger, so much for thinking. Actually I am finding I kind of like making daggers. So here is the first one of 2010, a push dagger in 312 layer ladder pattern, 1080 and 15N20. The blade is 4 1/4 " long. The spacer is 416 stainless and the handle is ebony. Kind of a dark elegant look. It will go out to it's new owner shortly.

That's a really good looking piece Brion, and a nice change of pace.

Never been able to get too excited over push daggers, however If I could Brion, yours would be one where I would. ;) Nice work. :)

:D I don't know why but I often find myself making one style for a while and then for some unknown reason going in another direction for the next while. For me it is definately cyclic.

Never the less, this is a very nice piece and I'm sure the new owner will be proud of it.

Good job!

Thank you all, I appreciate the comments. It is getting to the point where I like forging daggers and grinding them. People will probably start looking at me funny and saying that boys not right, but they sure look good. Tad, I am planning????? on having another push dagger at Little Rock. We will see how it goes. Thanks again everyone.

Very different from what I've see you make but still with that great smooth Tomberlin flowing style.

I like it!!!

Thanks for showing it here.

See you in Little Rock.
