Good morning
I did something different on this one. Let me know what you think.
after etching the blade I ground the false edge then polished that edge. By doing this it looks like the blade has a different profile.
Pictures are poor but mabe you can tell.
9" blade 1084 and 15N20
random pattern guard and butt
copper and silver spacers
burl birch handle

It's kind of hard to tell about the polished false edge from this angle, but I would say that it looks very nice.

Paratus, I don't see anything wrong with that one bud  That is a GREAT looking blade. Angle of the pics make it kind of tough to get a good look at the polished swege for an honest critique but........I'm making an S guard bowie right now too and if it turns out half as nice as this one I'll be just tickled.

Nice job !! ;) Great looking Damascus, very nice contrast

Thanks for the comments guys.

IG, I did the damascus for the blade.
I got the piece for the guard from a guy who wanted me to make him a blade from it, i wouldn't use his damascus for the blade because I didn't know what it was made of. so I took his piece on trade knowing I could use it for something like this.

I have always liked damascus blades with areas polished clean ever since seeing Allen Elishewitz folders. I think this is the first time I have seen it on a Bowie. Looks great from the pics. The false edge was a good spot for it.
