Last week I was talking in the chat room about making a new sheath for the 2 and I had been wanting to do a pancake style drop sheath. Well in the conversation this design came up. I was interested to see how it would turn out so I though I'd make it just to see. So here it is; my new design for a BK2 sheath.

I haven't worn it around yet. I just finished it today, so the water proofer is still kinda wet on it. I'll prolly wear it around tomorrow to see how it feels. I typically don't like the handle up that high so, who know's what's gonna happen with it. Next up will be my pancake drop sheath.
 
Looks great man! Would look even better if belt loop was the smooth side of leather! Very awesome, how long did it take you to make?
 
Thanks! I didn't keep track of time on it, but I think it was a couple or three hours maybe; no more than 4 though.

Thanks guys! I did put it on toward the end of the day, it felt pretty good. I'm just not much for belt carry like that, high on the hip. I'll have it on all day tomorrow and see how I like it. I'm thinking that it should be alright. I'll also get a pic of it on my belt for ya :thumbup:
 
They keep getting better and better MWTIC.:thumbup: That design looks very comfortable.
 
Thanks guys. I didn't get much of a chance to wear it today. The pants I wore today wouldn't let me wear the sheath where I wanted to, so I took it off after a bit. I'll try again tomorrow. But while I was wearing it today I did notice that it wasn't as bad as I thought it might have been, wearing the sheath up hight like that.
 
Damn Crazy, I always said I dislike leather sheaths and the only one I liked was by Hedgehog, now I can add yours to keep it company as the only leather sheaths I like.

Thanks Ark! That means quite a bit. I started making sheaths because of Hedgehog sheaths. I really liked their sheaths but I couldn't justify spending $300 on a sheath for a $65 knife, so I started making my own. I don't know how many horizontal sheaths I've made, but I know they have gotten significantly better as each one gets made.

What Ark said. I never really liked leather sheaths, but you really made them look tasty to me.

Hope we both receive our packages soon!
 
So I wore it all day today, and really didn't notice it a whole lot. Really only times I did was when I was sitting in a chair. Not really much I would change about it, but I do want to trim the corners.

Any way; here is a pic of me wearing it.
