Something new for the BK2

Very nice! How did you shape the leather around the blade? I have some vegi tanned leather hanging around thats waiting to become a sheath. But I'm wanting to shape the leather first. I'm thinking soaking it, making a press of some kind with either foam or clamps and letting it dry. Its a work in progress. Very slow progress at the moment...

Nice sheath it looks rock solid and the color is great too! Of course the first thing I did when I got my BK2 last week was put it on. I am not going to beat a dead horse here so i will just say i too was disapointed with the nylon webbing on the nice sheath. So I removed the webbing and cut it down to belt width and then reattached with three small allen head screws. I am kicking around the idea of having a horizontal sheath made and carrying in the small of my back. I have a local leather guy that has done sheaths for me in the past...we'll see.

Thanks guys. I'm getting use to this method o carry. I prefer the scout carry like with the other sheath I have pictured in this thread. That is my primary sheath for the ol' BK2.

FCFER, you're right soak the leather in some warm water and just mold it around what ever it is you're making a sheath for then let it dry.

Starting a new style of this sheath for a drop sheath. What do you think of this version?

It's just an in progress pic, and this one will be a drop sheath.

I can do that also. I just don't think that i would want one with this style sheath.

I just came across this topic. Nice work MWTIC! You are getting better and better dude! I'm looking foward to the next one you are working on.

That looks sweet MWTIC. Looking forward to the finished product.
