This was alot of fun working on this project and I will be making other "runs" of balisongs!The runs that I make will be kept to a small number of knives and after they are made I will never duplicate the same knife. I put alot of thought into the latch because I wanted a latch that was easy to thumb off as well as one that "clicks" in when it is engaged,the checkering was added to add alittle bit of ease when thumbing it off.The latch itself was turned from round stock on a lathe then I milled flats on the sides so it was easier to do a latch pull.
I have alot of ideas on different types of blades,styles and materials. I am really excited about finally making what I've collected for years!
