This is a Something Obscene J Cape v1.0 from Felix Archibeque's first release of the model. This is #43/100. The J Cape is a mid-tech made by We Knives that runs on ceramic bearings and has a stainless steel lockbar insert. There is zero blade play, lockup is firm at 35%, and centering is on point. Detent is medium-firm, and I'm unable to shake it out. Factory edge is very sharp, and I have done zero cutting with it. The only flaw I can see is snail trailing on the show side. Grading this a C for mods (read details below).

This version comes with bead blasted Ti w/ a nicely contrasting bronze lightning bolt clip, which IMO is the nicest color combo. It originally came with a rather large flipper tab, which had decent action, but after seeing this mod video: https://www.instagram.com/p/BdLRfPCg8Un/
on Fanatic Edge's IG, I sent to him for the same flipper delete + titanium thumbstud mod. It now fires much harder via thumb or spydieflick, and opens with a satisfying heavy thwack with no protruding flipper to get in the way. Blade grind is what sold this knife for me. Beautiful compound hollow grind w/ an elegant swedge and beautiful satin finish. It's a thick guy, but the aggressive, high hollow grind gives it surprising thinness behind the edge.

Knife comes with blank taco case and a 2nd blade. The 2nd blade that was a bonus item for 1st batch customers from Felix. The story is that his first batch of blades were completely botched by the heat treat vendor, and ended up warped. For fun, he decided to sign them and send them along with the v1.0 J Capes as a souvenir/thank you note. 2nd blade is unsharpened, and will be shipped safely in a cardboard sandwich.

Looking for: $275 shipped via PP Goods & Services
