Getting the list whittled down... this was the oldest one on the list.

I cracked the handle and had to start over!:grumpy:

It's certainly not a fancy piece or anything I expect cartwheels over, I just wanted to show that I'm actually keeping up with my "buckle down and get the old orders out the door" campaign!!! :)

It's 52100 forged down from 1-3/4" round with a slightly convex Scandi grind, Ironwood, and leather. Simple.... but pure utility... a work'n knife :)

Nice and clean and ready to work - congrats on getting another one done.

Nick posts a knife and 55 guys show up!  :D
The Ironwood is as nice as the rest of the knife.
Thanks for the look.

Nick, thats real nice. Something about the profile just flows real well. I love everything about it.
How did you bust up the handle like that? Did you squeeze it? :)

No choil, guard/bolster, and scandi grind!!! . . . never would of guessed a Wheeler in a thousand years. The enigma of simplicity is complexity, which is why so few can build simple knives that elevate adrenalin. Nick is one of the few. The sheath is just as well perceived and executed (and mated to the knife) as the knife itself.

Lookin good Nick!

Ken,

I will have to flat out steal that line. It is the pure distillation of exactly what I am trying to achieve with my collection.

Flow is the most important element of the 3Fs (Flow, Fit & Finish), imho. I suspect that appreciating Flow is something that is hard wired in our brains, a bit like the ability to hit a major league curve ball.

Thanks folks :) I really didn't figure anybody would even reply to the thread... I just wanted to put up a visual that I really am working on keeping my word.

Gotta get the action to speak as loud as the words and all :)

But I do appreciate the kind words... :)

It really is different than what people expect from me. I did about a hundred blade blanks with a grind like this, but very few complete knives. Oh, and that loop in the sheath is for a firesteel.

Thanks!

More to come soon :)

Does That Mean you can add me to the list with a spot Open:)

There's always one in every crowd.... :p ;)

Actually Riad, I'm usually "that one" so I appreciate your reply very much :D

But not enough to say, "YES" just yet... LMAO :p

Haha, hopefully he opens up fairly soon I am definitely looking to get on nick's list. I really like the plain utility style, it is just begging to be used. In the end that is how this whole thing started.
