something small with thin edge - suggestions?

Hi guys,
a Gareth Bull small Warlock. So, needless to say, it cuts like hell.
Thanks :)

Hi again, mantzao. If you decide to every get rid of the Gareth Bull, please let me know. It's a grail that I don't have enuf time left to get on his list. :)
It is a great-looking knife. I guess it is a little too large to do your small jobs at work?
There are some pretty good suggestions here, so you should be able to find something.
best regards,
don aka sonnydaze

Hahahaha no worries Don.
I'll keep you in mind mate :)

So, no more suggestions?
I once had a Skyline but didn't give it a chance to impress me and i sold it on the spot.
I can't remember, does it have a thin edge?

Get yourself some calipers ;)

I have no idea how thin behind the edge your blades are, Ankerson measured the Opinel #8 at 0.012" behind the edge, I've measured my Caly3 at ~0.015", and below that I start to worry about damaging edges as i tend to use EDC blades for, well, all types of cutting rather than dedicated slicers of soft material or hard material or abrasive material, etc. I have a handmade fixed-blade by Tim Johnson that is ~0.005" behind the edge and slices more easily than any knife besides my straight-razors. A diagram of a few edge-profiles:

Yeah, the blade is quite thin. BHQ lists it as 0.09"
Why not give it another try? I recently sharpened mine and started carrying it again and after getting the pivot dialed in and loc-tite'd, I love it more than ever.

Here are some quick, bad pics I took on the spot at work to try and give you an idea of the thickness:

i know the opinel is extremelly good slicer but not a one-hand opener.
been spoiled i'm afraid :)
plus, carbon steel...patina...not my thing but thanks though.
also, even though my GB is 3mm thick, the edge compares nothing to other ones with the same spine thickness, like the sebenza for example.

I always open my Opinel one handed. With Zero modifications.

You can also get them in stainless. Edge holding will be far below your customs. But if you do tough work you may just find the ability to grind a new edge on often outweighs edge holding, when either way the edge is destroyed at the end of the work week.
