  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

something to wet your MACHAX whistles

clich,
machax, rbk.

i'm (very) partial to the looks of the reinhardt, but my wallet is partial to the price of the machaxe.
you've chopped with both. how do they compare?

i'm afraid your answer is going to be expensive for me, but i'm a askin' anyway.

They both rock. And the RBK is a monster. But the more compact and balanced machax makes me lean toward it. Thicker stock, thicker grinds, yeh that's what I like in a chopper. The thin RBK buries deeper, but also gets stuck and the thinner stock I worry about snapping it trying to rock it out. I'd go machax for a user and RBK for collector. When I got the RBK I didn't think I'd get a machax since my chopping needs were covered. But also the machax seems like it can be that one knife for woods work. Not skinning or game dressing but it can shave and whittle and chop very well. I think the RBK will mostly see trail clearing work. Its lighter, longer, and faster so clearing brush and vines should be a breeze.
