I just wanted to share this with you guys here. I made it for fun for myself and it will not be sold. I don't usually make traditional knives anymore but a friend of mine gave me this piece of stag a few months ago. I wasn't sure if I'd ever use it but here I did. I've only used stag once before and I'm really liking it. The knife is very simple. Nothing fancy but I made sure my grinds and everything else were to the best of my ability. I had a lot of fun making this knife and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for looking!

That's outstanding Ray! I've always admired your work. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I especially like the way you matched the butt to the stag. Wonderful!!! A real beauty in its simplicity and excellent execution.

Very nice Ray. Care to share the specs? Size and blade steel used specifically.

If I had to choose one knife to have around for the rest of time...this one might be it. I always liked your work even when it wasn't attached to beautiful stag and in bowie form. So clean.

Wow Ray...just wow! Like the others I have always been a fan of your work and this brings it to a whole other level. Beautiful work!!

Stunning! I ordered something just like it from a maker years ago who took off with my payment and it was never made. I even specified the cap shaped to the end of the stag. Just beautiful!

A work of art!! Elegant in its lines and simplicity. Thank you for thinking to share it with us.

Oops I forgot to add some specs! The stag handle is 4 1/2" long. The blade is 7" long, .205" thick, D2 steel. I know D2 isn't commonly used on bowies but pretty much everything I make these days is D2. It's a great all around steel IMO.

Thank you guys for taking the time to comment. Your words are very encouraging to me.

I've been enjoying your works since I joined this forum quite a few years ago. Your skill has improved a lot and I always thought your work was amazing. The knife pictured above is a real beauty, and it is something I think your future ancestors will be proud of.

I think I just filled out my Christmas list. I'll drop by some time soon to check this beauty out.

Holy shmokes Ray! You never cease to amaze me!

I really wish you would go back to making fixed blades again. But I understand you gotta do what you enjoy, and stay where the market is.
