Something Traditional For a Change!

Very nice work, Ray. Although I was really hoping you did a traditional slip joint knife. Oh well, I can wait...

Can I clean the shop for a week Ray? Maybe with all the particles and dust I could glue something together? ;) out of any custom maker, all that I have viewed, you still have the cleanest lines. Less is more.

Ray,

That has to be the most cutting edge classic bowie I have seen. I concur, the butt cap filed down to match the stag is epic. I just love it.
Thanks for sharing!!

BTW, I sent you an email. Let me know.

yeah superb!
and as they say "if the cap fits..." how do you get that cap to match antler? amazing .

I want one! That is just amazing. The butt cap really matches the "grain" of the stag exceptionally well.

Wait, you said "nothing fancy," didn't you? Have you seen that which thou hast wrought?? ;)
I'm really digging that bowie. The blade is very well proportioned, that piece of stag is downright gnarly! And I really enjoy the way you contoured the butt cap to blend in with the natural shape of the stag. Well done! A fellow would be proud to hang that from his belt!

Ray, I hope you would give slipjoints a chance again. I have one of your folding Nessmuks, and it is a good user. After we talked, I'm letting it just achieve a natural patina, not forced, and it is coming along nicely. I also traded into a bushcraft, and will try to get the Kephart I ordered from you back, like an idiot I traded it. Great users, nice and clean. I have always heard praise from other makers when I show off your blades. Thanks for sharing your user with us.

I like all of you knives, but this one is the best I've seen. Really great work Ray:thumbup:
