This was a Custom Shop Skinny ASH1 with an almost-sharp, extremely wicked clip. Most Custom Shop blades are .22 thickthe 3/16 Skinnies are rare. This one was black paper micarta over a black coated blade. A former owner stripped the blade and tang, leaving only the rear pommel/talon area coated, then polished the blade and used it enough to look used, which is reflected in the price. The blade carries a fair number of light scratches and some faint residue from the coating near the spine, but no damage and no visible signs of abuse. Ive tried to capture some of the surface scratches in the photos. Remnants of the Custom Shop logo can be seen only at an angle to the light. The edge has been sharpened and is razor sharp.
This gracefully brutal knife weighs under 14 oz, making it the lightest ASH Ive ever heard ofvery fast and nimble in-hand, and would deliver a devastating back slash. So no beauty contest nominations, but in a Bad Boy competition this wins hands down.
