Something's wrong with my computer...again

Yes, yes, yes.

I love firefox, and use it almost exclusively. There's a few sites that aren't compatible (anything with Active X) but usually it is great. I havent had a pop up in months.

Ok, I got rid of the OTB thing but I'm still having problems not being able to right-click or open links. I've run all the programs numerous times, spybot still finds 9 "Tracking Co..." everytime I run it. Also, I don't think the kernel.32 has been removed, could that be the problem? I'm literally about to shoot my computer

Argh...! Have been typing this for a while before I lose everything..... Here's everything in summary......

I suspect that my home PC is infected but can't seems to clean or detect the virus. These are what I know...
1) Can't detect using the norton corporate edition and latest Live Update.

2) Computer is slowed down until unbearable. Discovered that some strange programs (file names with numbers and letters) runs on and off constantly (can be several same programs running at the same time) in task manager. Also found about 4 other strange programs running in process manager (4 programs (.exe) but total ~30 i.e. 1 program running 8~9 times)

3) can't use IE6 at all.... Always hang with "not responding" message....

What should I do now (short of throwing my pc at the wall in frustration)?

4) I forgot.... my norton realtime protection told me that it has prevented many (100+) trojans from my pc every time I click on IE6.

I have scan using latest updated version of Norton and Adware. What can I do now.... Perhaps CEShedder? Should I run my pc in safe mode prior to that?

If you want to help and prefer emailing me, I can be reached at howesim@hilti.com or simyit.howe@hilti.com . My yahoo mail can't be read at home....

Thanks
Sean

If its gone so bad you can get no good of it why not format your hard drive and reinstall your windows?I've done this so many times with different Windows Versions that I can get it done in about two hours.
Get a nice clean install of windows, load your anti-virus and then update both windows and Anti-Virus as a priority!
Now Ghost your Hard Drive, so if it happens again you can just reformat and reinstall a clean build in no time!
Then you can add all the fiddly programs we all have for our own needs and if you like Ghost the "fully loaded" configuration as well so you could reinstall either a bare bones or a full spec. to your box.
