Somethng Special about the SAR8 SE

 .... Pics? ....

Nope... no pics. :D :p

Careful NYDude... its not for the agressive scratcher. :p

.

The SAR8 is a beautiful knife. I keep mine next to my bed just to look at and fondle. The rounded polished pommel is understated but very good looking. Same thing with the straight spine with the rounded edge and talon hole. Its not fancy, but its very classy.

I agree, one of the best new designs in a while, I think. I hope they keep up the production of them and offer a CG run, I see it as a new classic once its in use...

I definitely agree. I think the SAR 8 will be one of the most used Busse knives ever. I would like to see many different combos in CG, with micarta and paper.

SAR4 & 8 ??? for you owners

-Do you find the thumb grip on the spine to have sharp edges???
-Do they chew into the thumb???
-Are they kinda noticable, but they don't dig into your thumb???

My SAR4 is pretty sharp on the thumb grip. One side has a hint of burnishing on the edge, but the other side is a raw 90 degrees. I guess sometimes they miss a side. Will fix it someday.

So Company Store releases seem to have been mostly on Mondays.... maybe another this Monday? I still think there are a couple SE versions to match the SAR4's still to be released.... and then.... the COATED versions!!

Hopefully in bama clay!

I love my SAR8 and 4's... They are excellent blades.... and I realy like the new full height convex grind on the 8's. I like them so much I had to order another when the black G-10 was offered ;-) Actually it is good to see that Busse does not rest on past excellent designs and are always looking for ways to design new blades and try new things. That is why they will always be on top.
