Sometimes I just "wander" in here to relax. Thanks all!

I haven't had much to add lately, but I still check in about every day to see how folks are doing. This is a great place. All we need is a potbellied woodstove.

Welcome to the forum garbo! And to the traditional knife addiction!.:D

Been thinking about this a lot. I come here because of the feel and air of respect. We respect our elders here and we respect the opinions of newbies too. And we help people looking for answers or insight, rather than mocking them. There's also a strong dose of sanity here. I read a lot of the other subforums here at BF but, more often than not, the posts I read make me chuckle or even laugh out loud. I swear, based on what I read elsewhere, we Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades regulars must live the most boring lives on the internet! Imagine, we're able to do all the things a guy ought to do with a knife (you know, fend off ninjas, repair a space shuttle in orbit, pound your way through the windshield of a sinking Hummer, slice through 1,000 cardboard boxes and then field dress a dozen elk without re-sharpening, etc.), all with just a common ordinary pocketknife! I'd say we're a hell of a lot more than just folksy!

It certainly makes me feel better every time I drop in here.
Always a friendly word and always so much opportunity to learn.

I just started getting active here on this sub forum and it in now my favorite part of BFs.
Jackknife's stories really got me hooked. There are so many great folks here.
Thanks all for creating such a friendly atmosphere.

This is pretty much the only part of BF I go to. I feel comfortable here and I hope some day to be able to meet some of you guys in person.

Henley-On-Thames, is that near smiling-knifes place in Bedford?
Theres some of us that want to organize an expedition to find s-k's secret cave under Sheffield. Can we use your place as a jumping off base? You'd get to meet some us for sure!:D:D:D

I'm in on that get together if you guys will have me!

It's not far by U.S. standards. You'll have to be quick though, we aren't going to be here more than another year or so I think.

There's a pretty good cave in Henley. Not the cheapest, but some nice stuff. I'll have to see if I can get some pics up. ;)

I have been a lurking for a good while, so I joined in and just love it here,I can't shut up. Really good group of people though....Mike
