Sometimes Life Sucks...So "Embrace It"

These are really starting to grow on me as a blade shape. A bit pointer and jabier than a BATAC.

Definately Bigfattyt, someone posted a comparrison pic the other day with a batac laying on top of the satinjac. It showed real well how the blade is different!

why don't your handle slabs look like the one in Jerry's picture???

ETS13.jpg

I hope they look like Jerry's picture, or I'm gonna be very, very unhappy.:(:( I bought three of them and I can't say I like the handle slabs on yours...No Offence:cool: I guess I just spent a grand on knives I will not like.:(:( I only bought three of them because I thought they were exactally like the one in Jerry's picture

Why aren't the handle slabs the same colour.....I've never seen a Busse picture of one of there knives so completely different from what you actually get.....I'm starting to feel disappointed.:(:(

If you look at the pictures, you will see the handles look like a different color in every picture. That is what happens under different light.

If you don't like the color I'll take them off your hands for $100 each :-)

Doesn't look like life sucks too bad for you, my friend. :)
Congratulations on another TAN addition.

Sag.

bramel, jerry said in an earlier thread that the handles in the initial photo weren't finished completely.

mine showed up this morning, and I have a new favorite busse. :D

As Jerry had said, the handles in the picture were not finished. They were still quite square. My ETSSJTAC just showed up and the scales are nicely rounded. Great feel, and extremely comfortable. I do love these knives. I tend not to buy coated blades but for an SJTAC I will gladly make an exception

Thanks Sag, she is fantastic! Bramel, as Din said, the handles were not completed for the photo shoot. If you go back and search it you'll find the discussion where Jerry said that. I didn't take offense, everyone likes what they like! If you don't like them, I am sure they would sell!

Great knife but as I examine it I see that the edge must be 45 to 50 degrees inclusive. But no worries. Spine thickness looks to be about 3/16" so after some good work with the edgepro I should have a considerable slicer.

My ETS SJTAC seems to have the TAC "mags", the handle being about 3/4" thick at the center fastener vs. about 5/8" for the standard TAC handles on my other Jacks and Badgers. Not a big difference but I like it. Pete / PIGmsayre
BTW, Yes Dr. Lunde, they do appear to be convex ground/milled like the original SJTAC release. Pete

Mine arrived today. I got a mag tigerhide-handled SJ at Knob Creek. I've read posts that there isn't much difference between SJ mags and standard scales, but I compared them side-by-side, and those tan Embrace SJTAC grips seem exactly the same size as my tigerhide. I don't recall Jerry saying that they were mags, but I'm pretty sure they are (either that, or my tigerhides aren't). Can anyone else confirm the Embrace handles are mags? They're plenty comfy anyway, but mags are more prestigious.

The answer was posted while I was composing the question; thanks Pete.
