Deryk Munroe is well know for his creative, tactical folder designs. Here is a very rare forged, fixed blade of his. A tanto in 1084/15N20 with an OAL of 10" and a 5" blade. It's quite unique and quite nice.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

What was done to get the non-beveled parts of the steel that texture? It looks like some pitted moonscape. Incredible.
I may be wrong but I would think they are hammer marks.
No sheath..... yet....That's really nice. cool wrap. What is the sheath like?
That is the rough forged steel left unfinished. Mostly hammer marks but I imagine other factors play into creating the texture related to heating, cooling,... For similar work take a look at Matt Lamey, Adam Desrosiers, Jason Knight... Each of them does some rough forged work. I like the look quite a bit in this piece. What was done to get the non-beveled parts of the steel that texture? It looks like some pitted moonscape. Incredible.
