I stripped and polished this formerly black S.O.D. and gave it a nice satin finish. The edge has been reprofiled and given a convex edge that's polished to a mirror finish. The para-cord wrap on the handle is not glued, but just wrapped round and round as I found it gives the handle a beefier grip for such a big blade.
