I was actually in the army when Sgt. Sadler recorded that; it was a big hit on the army-run overseas station. Fellow came to a bad end, as I recall; got wound up in some sort of nasty business....
We trained with the "Green Berets"; they picked our infantry company to participate in a big NATO exercise in Norway of all places. The army sent us all down to Bad Tolz in the Alps to take the mountain training school run by the Special Forces.
I had a lot of respect for those guys. Very good at what they were doing, they also had a rather casual attitude towards "regulations". Their idea seemed to be, "get the job done in the easiest and most efficient way...Period."
Drove our West-Point lieutenant nuts....Hehe.
