Songs of the Sand Country

Howard and Mr. Rice; we are enjoying your conversation- but as I mentioned in the edits I just did, not all of Bill's life is viewed by Yangdu to be a fitting topic of conversation on HI forum. I hope you both understand. It might be considerate to contact Yangdu about this. I know she appreciated Howard's attention to Bill's poetry.

Munk, Thanks for looking out for Yangdu's feelings. I've contacted her to clear up the mystery of the edits. You got to Rice's posts before I saw them so I'm not sure all of what you've redacted.

I extend my public apology to Yangdu for any discomfort my posts have caused. Any such injury was due to my clumsiness and not my intention.

I'm going to be offline most of today.

Thanks Howard.
There are awkward moments in everyone's life- or reaching moments- passages- difficulties- youthfulness- you know what I mean. (and they're still going on in all of us) I admire Bill more for where he's been. But there are probably some topics best reserved for the campfire or livingroom, where his friends, like you and so many others, could share more openly than in a quasi public setting.
