Sonoran Shank with a Jumping Edge

I like it. Visually interesting and probably cuts like a mofo. I like the cactus handle as well, bonus points for recycling.

I don't, but that is why there is so much variety in knives. I just prefer more purpose driven designs, and was curious as to what it may have been designed for.

It is kind of funny that a guy with the handle "cuts like a kris" doesn't understand a wavy edged knife.:D

It is what it is. :)

I guess you either get it or you don't.

This one is too interesting to not get it. The utility may come into question, unless you can accept the idea of the aesthetic being it's utlility - then it makes perfect sense! Certainly an unusual piece, but I appreciate it, nonetheless. Thanks for sharing, Tai!

To me this creation is awesome sharp edged art!

All the best,

I bet that if I showed this piece to a group of “art snobs” they would say,… "It’s not art. It’s a weapon".

… Believe me. I’ve been there before.

It is interesting to me to see how different people look at it.

Thanks.

Tai, I for one consider myself a great admirer of art knives as you
may have noticed from the books I created on the subject.

That is exactly why I liked this new creation of yours...

All the best,

I like the cholla handle. I made a bunch of them about 10 years ago, but I filled the hollow Cholla w/ dyed epoxy.

Nasty and cute at the same time.

How we perceive this object, or any object for that matter,... has more to do with how our individual brains are wired, than with the object itself.

Our perception of the object doesn’t change the reality of object itself.

… A few of us seem to be able to perceive it from multiple (and apparently opposing) perspectives simultaneously. :)
