Soon to be Iraq bound

Thanks guys. ;) I'm really proud of this one. That bad boy took 8 hours to profile and hollow grind, all done freehand. :) The blade is full hardened with a double draw temper. It's hard to see but I put a slight palm swell on the scales using the contact wheel. I'm sure you guys know what I mean. Sorta like you do Brian. Being that this was made for one of our fine military men, it made it so much more satisfying to make. BTW, the pistol is my buddys Colt 1911 A1 45 auto. Greg, I didn't do the parkerizing after all because this knife had to be done ASAP, so I got a gunsmith friend to do it. I do plan on getting the stuff together I need to do it in the future. Dave, Brian has helped me alot with different questions I've had so I do consider him a bud just like everyone else here.

Thanks Nathan, that's from the contact wheel I got from you. It is a super true turning wheel.

Really work-like looking knife Scott. Nice hollow grind, my prefernce too.
What size contact wheel did you use?
Mike

miden, that was done on a 10" contact wheel on my KMG 2x72 grinder.

Thanks Scott, once again, good, soldier-like looking knife.
Lets hope your buddy does not have to use it in anger, except for if he cannot get his ration pack open :D

Hey Scott......That knife looks like it can handle any situation that comes up, and look good doing it..
