I bought two knives the other day and they both showed up today. I bought them for my Wife and I. They are the Cold Steel Trailmaster San Mai 3 and a Becker BK 9. I made myself put them on the table and let my Wife take her pick. Guess which one she picked...........

I sure do love my BK9! Lol!!

No experience with the cold steel, but I love my bk9.

It's a good chopper, but what I find more impressive about it is that it does small tasks surprisingly well, which makes it really versatile. I'm sure you'll like it :D.

9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!''''!'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what rest of thread is ab o UT but.........9!!!!!!!!!!:D

Gotta admit I do like and appreciate plenty of cold steels. Keep both fool.:D What a sane poyson would do.

San Mai III is the name of the steel Cold Steel uses in several of their knives, they don't make a knife called the "San Mail 3".

^^^Shiflet beat me to it but I was going to chime in with the same thought. What CS knife did you get?

Nice. The SM3 Trailmaster is a master class knife. So your wife picked that one...lol. I would like have been a little sad myself, as the BK9 is a great knife, but the San Mai Trailmaster... Those knives are expressions of perfection.

Well, I sure do love her and my plan was that if she picked the Trailmaster I'll just buy myself one at a later date. Lol!!

Welcome to the board, and congrats on buying a couple of hardworking knives, brother!

Both are excellent blades. Got pics?
It's just a cell phone picture but it's the best I can do in short order.

Congratulations on your two acquisitions. Now pick up a Condor Moonshiner. You're wife may like it. It's wicked. Might even work in the kitchen for food prep. Sharpened my new one up the other day and it is has a hair popping edge now. It is just a cool blade.

Always wanted one of the Cold Steel Trailmasters. Almost bought one a couple of times at shows.

I have a BK9, and totally love it, along with its little brother the BK7. I have custom kydex sheaths for both.

I have almost pulled the trigger on a Trailmaster a couple of times, but thought it might be redundant... but then again, who cares? It's just freakin' cool!

My point is: you have a couple of great knives. Enjoy them both.
