Sold! Thanks Guys!

This is my “Soothsayer” model. This slightly modified kiridashi design makes an outstanding EDC/Utility or defensive knife. If you have never tried a kiridashi, you are missing out on one of the most useful knife designs around.

The blade is differentially heat treated 1095. I performed all heat treat and tempering operations. As you can see, the hamon is quite visible and very distinct. The blade was taken to 1200 grit, and etched twice to ensure a vivid hamon.

The handle is exceptionally comfortable in either standard or reverse grip. The wrap is nylon and is impregnated with epoxy to prevent unraveling or moisture retention. The under wrap is a choice piece of black sting ray skin. I chose a very detailed dragon for the menuki.

The knife ground with a chisel hollow grind for a right hand user. I have also ground a swedge along the spine that greatly aids penetration. The knife is extremely sharp, as the edge was polished and stropped. Excellent edge geometry. This will make someone a very nice carry blade.

- Differentially heat treated 1095
- 60 - 61 HRC
- 1/8 Stock
- Distinct and active hamon
- Hollow Chisel Grind (Right Hand)
- Razor Sharp
- 7.25" OAL, Cutting edge of about 2.75"
- Kydex sheath

Thanks for looking! :D

I caught a few reflections in some of the pictures. It's difficult to photograph highly finished blades!

That is very cool looking.
You may want to even try making a few with blades a bit larger.
Sweet.

I actually have a "Mega-Dashi" design. It has about a 4.5" blade. I may have a few done soon.
