Sorry another SS question?

I found before me today at work lots of 1/4 inch thick by 1 1/2 wide 316 stainless steel stock. After the job is done I can get the leftovers.
Question will this make a decent blade? Thinking small fixed blade, full tang.

Never mind just dug out my Machine Tool Practices text and it says it is non-hardenable, only by cold working...oh well.

You still can use it for guards, bolsters and etc. Not a total waste.
