Sorry to ask a stupid question but is it possible to have an older strider knife sent in for the cool striped coating?
Any update on the knife training seminar?
Thanks in advance for any help.

adder,

As I understand it, the Tiger Stripe is a result of bead-blasting OFF some of the "crust" after heat-treat. In other words, no. You'd have to have the blade re-heat-treated to get the black (and I don't know if that can even be done.)

Don't worry, the older knives look good with their "character" marks. If you want Tiger Stripes, just get yourself another Strider Knife.

Hey,
Thanks for your interest and Mr. Brian ... thank you as well for giving the info you had on hand.
Here is the bottom line; yes we can do so, however, it requires another tempering cycle of the knife. This is neither a good thing or a bad thing other than the fact that you will be without your knife for 3 to 4 weeks and there will be a fee involved.
Thanks for your interest,

Thanks for the response. I am currently negotiating for a tiger striped strider, so just more striders for me.:D
