Sorry, I couldn't help posting these....

Jeez I can't wait to get my hands on that whitetail skinner... I've looked at this thread about 8 times in the past 4 hours or so... You guys better get in line, I have a feeling Brian's list is going to grow in length very rapidly...

Edit: Oh, and it doesn't help that this is my first custom... Oh the humanity!!! :o

Believe me, I'm the same way. Brian had sent me pics of the knives he made me before he mailed them off. I kept going back and looking at them over and over until they arrived. I do that with every new knife though, it seems to ease that shipping time a little bit :)

Brian,

Seriously - I don't use this lightly. The cocobolo one made me whistle outloud. Like almost taking breath away. Nice work.

HINT HINT - PASS AROUND - HINT HINT - NEED SHEATH? HINT HINT!!!!

Sweet...I just sent you a PM Brian.

The Bushcrafter is utterly stunning, beautiful!

The other is great too, but I'm bewitched by the Bushy.

Thanks all for the comments.

I don't think the folks at WS&S realize how much they have helped me to be even able to do this. This is pretty much about the only "forum" I hang out on and know people. Bryan Breeden helped me with tons of questions. Andy (Fiddleback) and thrown me plenty of advice and hints. Nick (NWA) has helped me tons! :D Not to mention all the design input from others.

It is fun getting to make these things.

Beautiful. What's the steel?

O1.

Take care,
b

hehehe, Brian hasnt even shipped my knife yet and im already about 98% sure i'll be ordering a bushcrafter from him in the next month or so... :D:D:D

WOW Brian! You really picked out some beautiful wood. That cocobolo is stunning even by cocobolo standards. I'm also loving the blackwood. The grain is subtle and so classy. It really shows off the elegant shape of that blade. I've yet to work with it, but from some musical instrument makers and turners that I've spoken with, it's tremendous wood. More stable than ebony, able to hold crisp detail and rare. Great work!

It is pretty darn dense, and not the easiest thing to grind. But, once it is all done, I love the stuff. I have it on one of my "beater" knives and I can't ask any more from it.

very cool knives brian  do you do customized orders? like if i drew it up would you make it?

I sent you an e-mail. I would love to try someone else's design, as long as it doesn't stray too far from what I know I can do well. Send me a sketch.
