Sorry Jackknife but you have to have a big stockman.

Title says it all. Not that I don't carry a Peanut, because I do. But sometimes you just have to have a larger knife.

I've come to develop a fascination with the Stockman. Three fantastic blades in one compact package.

My two favs:

Schrade 8OT

I have a Schrade Lumberjack around here somewhere. It's too damn large to loose. But anyhoo...Woodrow that's a fine picture.

The big stockman is a staple to me. I really love this amber bone rancher in CV, got it last year for my birthday.

You and I would get along well I suspect... A man with a pipe and a trusty large Stockman!

I've had this old cob since 1981... :)

When I'm hunting I carry this Buck 307 in my pocket (for EDC use I normally carry a Buck 303 or a Schrade 34OT). OH

i have a SS med yellow stockman that i always seem to put in my pocket when going for gardening or such. stays sharp, doesn't stain. hard to go wrong with one when outdoors.

The large stockman is a most useful knife, for EDC or the field. I personally consider the 3¼ to 3⅞" lengths as mediums, with anything 4 inches and over a large.
Here are a few examples of mine.

"Large" seems to cover several sizes in the Stockman pattern. The Schrade 8OT is 3 7/8" and is considered large yet Case calls their 3 7/8" size "medium" (along with some smaller sizes). Large also goes up to 4 1/4" and 4 1/2" depending on brand.

Lol. I'm fairly certain Carl already has a large stockman. His beloved grandfather carried a German one for years and it is now part of the family display.
