I just realised that I never posted these pictures from the 2008 Atlanta Bladeshow. There are 3 different slideshows. If you recognize any makers, vendors, or random people, say who they are.
It's awesome. i just wish that they would have some good food vendors there instead of the crap that comes out of the walls. I know those people are working hard, but that was easily the nastiest pizza, the most stale nachos, and the coldest oldest hotdog I've ever eaten. The coke was good though. They need to have some people in there selling different kinds of wilderness jerky or roasted nuts of various sorts or get Joezilla to do a bug eating booth, something.
There's some pretty stuff there but the thing that catches my eye is below. I've been following this knife since development and play with old bayonets way back when. Being that it's carbon and coated I'll never be a fanboy for it, but I believe the design to be a good one. Peltonen designed this knife for the military [guerrilla knife] but whilst bearing strongly in mind things that knives should be good at. To my mind many knives marketed as military try so hard to differentiate themselves from anything civilian they also distance themselves from anything useful. This one is a bit different, and certainly has more appeal to me than attaching another Mora from the bucket to your kit.
Available as the Puukko M-95 but last year a new shorter one was released as the M-07.
Really enjoyed those slideshows! I have yet to make it to Blade . I am afraid I might need a script for vallium to keep from getting overcome with joy!
